  • Meets Shane and Jenny as they're in the process of searching for roommates and is instantly fascinated by Shane. Shane and Jenny are uncertain about him, at first, but when he offers the two first, last and six months plus a security deposit in advance, there's no way that they can refuse.
  • Moves into the shed behind Shane and Jenny's house.
  • Has the idea to make a documentary about his life with his two lesbian roommates. Shane and Jenny are understandably wary about his iffy motivation and goof off for the camera when they see that he isn't completely serious about the project.
  • After being convinced by his friend Gomey, Mark plants hidden cameras throughout Shane and Jenny's house. It is thanks to these cameras that he sees Shane set off on her downward self-destructive spiral of sex and drug abuse due to her troubling relationship with Carmen.

  • Becomes friends with Shane after helping her.
  • Grows and evolves thanks to his close contact with Shane and Jenny and ultimately takes down all of the hidden cameras in the house and confesses to Shane and Carmen about what he's done. Shane punches him, but ultimately forgives him and their friendship becomes closer and more intimate than ever and she tries to help get him into Jenny's good graces again.
  • Agrees to stay and face the consequences of what he's done when Jenny challenges him, but soon accepts a job doing videographer work for Gloria Steinem.

  • "You're liable to hear s**t about me while you're gone, and since I won't be there to defend myself, I just... I don't want you to think I'm a total a****le. [...] Can't tell you. I'm sorry. I used to like this character, I know that the show is about Lesbians and Bisexual girls but in my opinion the show could have some male characters! They need some friends! Mark was weird but in some way he could make some balance in Jenny and Shane's life! We don't know anything about him anymore... why is he no longer in the show?
